Strong Australian contingent at Regional Workshop
Strong Australian contingent at Regional Workshop
April 6, 2008; Graeme Munro
CISV Australia was pleased to have 13 delegates at the recent Asia Pacific Workshop (APRW) and Junior Asia Pacific Regional Conference (JASPARC). The workshops were held outside Jakarta, Indonesia from March 27, until April 2 and this is the first time that Australia has been able to put together such a numerically strong delegation. The benefits of face to face interaction between delegates from Perth and Geelong will have an immediate positive impact on the development of the National Association.
The key training workshops were on Executibe Development, International Peoples Project, Seminar Camp and Leadership Training and Australian delegates were strong participants in all workshops. More detailed reports will follow.
A highlight of JASPARC was the recognition given to Tiiram Sunderland as retiring Regional Coordinator. His work over the last two years was recognised as being outstanding. CISV Australia was pleased to have Cecily Rawlinson from the Perth Chapter elected to replace Tiiram.
